The
Circular Loom is an important machine in Plastics and
Textile industries. The quality and quantity of the final
product largely depends on these machines, hence it
becomes absolutely necessary to monitor certain
parameters around the clock. However every plant has
large number
of looms and it is not possible for Supervisor / Engineer
to stand on each loom to monitor these parameters and
take corrective measures. Our Loom meter just serves this
purpose. The Loom Monitor monitors all the essential
parameter of the loom. These Monitors (Max 128) can be
connected to a PC, where all the data will be logged
around the clock. This data can be further processed to
generate various production, quality, and maintenance
reports. The Loom Monitors (Max 128) can also be
connected to a Printer Interface (supplied Separately)
for printing Shift wise report directly on a 80 Col.
Printer, without using PC. This is highly convenient for
small Number of looms. Since all the data is available at
finger tips, the Loom Supervisor role is effectively
reduced to great extent. It is also a cost-effective
replacement for mechanical length counter, giving a
better accuracy and many additional features. The Cut To
Length is feature is very useful for cutting rolls of
exact size, which is an essential requirement in Woven
Sack Industry. The Loom Monitor is housed in extruded
aluminum box. On the front, it has a large LCD 2X16
character display and a four key membrane keypad. On the
back side, a 15 Pin `D' type connector for terminating
various signal and 24 VAC input supply, Four LED to
indicate the status of Input Signal, 9 Pin 'D' type
connector to terminate the RS485 bus (optional feature)
and a protection fuse. The heart of the Monitor is a
Single Chip Micro-controller. The Monitor also has Real
Time Clock with memory, which will retain the data in the
event of power failure. The data can be retained for 10
years. The input signals to the Monitor are optically
isolated to ensure adequate protection to Monitor from
external disturbance. The LCD display is backlit to
facilitate the easy reading in the night also. The input
power supply to Monitor is 24 volt AC which is easily
available in Loom control panel.
The loom Monitor monitors all major parameters of the
loom like Production, Weft breaks, and Warp Breaks, Loom
running and stopped time. These parameters are recorded
on 2 or 3 shift basis around the clock. The built in Real
Time Clock keeps the track of time, even when the power
is disconnected and Shift Changes are set automatically
at preset time. All the Loom parameters are stored in Non
Volatile Memory and are retained in the event of power
failure. The loom parameters are arranged on LCD display
for easier viewing. The Monitor has PC interface for
connecting multiple Monitors to a PC, where all the loom
data is recorded. This data is further processed to
generate various reports like Daily, Weekly, Monthly
production. These reports can viewed using a standard
browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.
The length sensing is done through a Proximity Switch
mounted on chain sprocket of First nip roller. The
proximity switch and Clamp are supplied with the Loom
Monitor. No Welding, drilling, grinding, cutting
operation are required on Loom. When the Loom runs, nip
roller carries the woven fabric, and chain sprocket
rotates at proportional fabric speed. For every pulse
sensed at chain sprocket, the counter in loom is
incremented. This incremental can be set on from panel of
Loom Monitor to adjust for the variation in length. Thus
Loom Monitor can be accurately set to measure the length
of fabric. The cut length Counter in Loom Monitor also
gets this information and ultimately rolls of fixed
length can be cut.
